Considering our modern day hectic lifestyle and wide variety of hi-tech entertainment, it's quite impressive that some people still love the simple pleasure of drawing, allowing space and time in their lives to interpret the world of fashion through lines and dots. This is indeed an art form and now we can admire the most amazing artists with the first ever standalone exhibition from the Fashion Illustration Gallery.

Isabella Blow is the epitome of the British fashion industry, edgy and subversive. She would express herself through fashion and now fashion brings her back to life in an amazing exhibition at Somerset House. As it happened with painters in the past, sadly she didn't live long enough to witness the recognition of her talent.
Looking forward to Bailey's Stardust!
David Bailey's portraits are timeless, there's something inexplicable about them that make us stop and stare. We will be able to get an idea about his amazing body of work at the National Portrait Gallery in February 2014. Bailey's Stardust will be one of the Gallery's largest scale photographic exhibitions and it includes previously unseen work.
Dior's Blast From the Past
For moments of serene inspiration why not visiting the Christian Dior Museum of Granville? Its latest exhibition - Impressions Dior - celebrates the influence of the impressionism art movement on Maison's Dior aesthetics. Impressionist painters went outdoors to express their direct intuitive vision, it was all about light, colour and movement.

After a much needed tech-free holiday, it's a pleasure to get back to work with the 'Oscars of the design world.' The Designs of the Year 2013, celebrating the most innovative international designs over the past year, are currently being showcased at the Design Museum.

I've attended quite a few press previews at the V&A but never experienced today's media frenzy with TV crews all over the place and such a strong sense of excitement. This is the first international retrospective of the extraordinary career of David Bowie, an iconic figure and musical innovator who continues to inspire others.
Lichtenstein's Pop Perception
He helped to create the hip New York art world in the Sixties, giving a face to an era. By elevating comics into art, Lichtenstein became the spirit of his times with incredible wit. Now we can admire the evolution of this amazing artist at Tate Modern, which is exhibiting a retrospective of his work.
Man Ray: Capturing the Unseen
We can now enter the extraordinary world of Man Ray, a visionary artist who continues to influence future generations. The National Portrait Gallery is showcasing an inspiring exhibition focusing on his photographic portraiture. His piercing eyes reveal a curious and highly articulate mind, a fascinating man who not only embraced life but also transformed it.
Manet: Portraying Life
I first came across Eduard Manet during my last year of a French language course at L'Alliance Française. The most impressive thing about him is the way he challenged what was conventionally accepted in order to capture modern life in such a unique way.
Virtual Perceptions: Mariko Mori
I first came across the otherworldly art of Mariko Mori in 2002, having written about her for my MA Fashion Studies project, a lifestyle magazine created with the collaboration of a few other students from the University of the Arts in London. Now she's exhibiting at the Royal Academy of the Arts. One word: unmissable!
Valentino: Master of Couture
Valentino is such an iconic figure! His name is synonym with the world of couture and his career is truly extraordinary, spanning over four decades and covering some of the most exciting periods in the history of fashion.

All about Eve is the latest must-see photography exhibition in London! Opening to the public today, it celebrates the work of the legendary photographer Eve Arnold, who became famous for her unique portraits of Marilyn Monroe over a 10-year period.
Today is the public opening of a mind-blowing exhibition highlighting the moments of most intense innovation by the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. You feel immersed in a different world exploring deeper levels of consciousness.

The first exhibition to focus on Lucien Freud portraiture will open at the National Portrait Gallery this Thursday. I've attended the press view this morning and highly recommend it. Lucian Freud was one of the most important and influential artists of his generation.

V&A Unveils Hollywood Glamour
This exhibition will only open this fall but the press was invited to have a sneak preview with a live presentation by Professor Deborah Nadoolman Landis, a leading Hollywood costume designer and author, who has been nominated for an Academy Award.
This exhibition takes us on a journey through David Hockney's view of the world. It is bright and insightful, vivid colours and mesmerising landscapes often with a road in some shape or form, make us reflect on our our inner path and delight in a positive spirit.
Chihuly may be an unfamiliar name to you but I'm sure his work isn't. His impressive 27 foot high chandelier over the grand entrance hall of the V&A Museum is the first thing to catch your eye as soon as you get in.
Catwalk to Cover
The highest moments of the year for those working in fashion are the catwalk shows. For the designers, months of hard work are condensed in a few minutes of bliss, anxiety and excitement. (They usually go on holiday after the fashion week to recover their energy.)
If you haven't been to Brick Lane recently, now is a good time to go. There is an interesting exhibition about shoes specifically created for special occasions, which ends tomorrow.
20 Years of Dazed & Confused Magazine
Dazed & Confused magazine embodies London's underground culture, a creative platform where fashion meets art and music. The rebellious attitude of pushing boundaries and the freedom to interpret the world without following any rules made it an iconic magazine over the last two decades.

London has a rich cultural life and today I was invited by the Royal Academy of Arts for the preview of Degas and the Ballet: Picturing Movement, which traces the development of the artist's ballet imagery throughout his career.
